Sarah and Christine,
What a shock. We were just totally numbed when we read your e-mail last night. Your mother was such a strong and positive person that we were certain that she would make it through this latest medical episode --- as she has done in the past. She seemed so robust and healthy when we last saw her just four short months ago. It's hard to believe that she has really left us.
We know you both love your mother very much and can feel the emotional pain that you are going through. But you need to take comfort in the fact that, as you stated, she is no longer in pain and is in a better place. Not that you will ever forget her or that you will stop thinking of her, but time will eventually make this transition easier to bear --- it's a very slow process but it will happen.
Of course you know that "Aunt Linda" was a favorite of Cindy's and she is very saddened that she will never see her Aunt Linda again.
We have a couple of pictures from your mother's last visit and will forward copies to you.
